Short version: the Seiko Presage HCC009 is a 38mm, no-date 6R51 automatic dressed in a very literal bonsai theme. The textured pine-green dial and gold-tone case are the point; the useful part is that Seiko kept the compact Classic Series proportions, sapphire crystal, 72-hour reserve and 10-bar water resistance underneath the story.
It is a collaboration with TRADMAN’S BONSAI, inspired by a Japanese black pine seen under moonlight. The global HCC009 run is limited to 2,000 pieces and is listed for a September 2026 release. Seiko’s UAE product page is live, but it does not show a UAE price or current WristBear listing, so this is release news rather than a buy-now claim.
Choose it for the compact 38mm case and unusually convincing dial texture, not because the bonsai collaboration somehow changes the familiar 6R51 underneath. The gold treatment is emphatic. Subtle, this is not.
What Seiko actually announced
TRADMAN’S BONSAI was founded in 2015 and works to present bonsai through contemporary culture, fashion and art. For this watch, Seiko says the design began with a Japanese black pine illuminated by the moon. The matsuba-iro dial translates the pine needles into colour, while its stamped relief takes cues from the bark and character of an ageing tree.
The result is less restrained than the standard Presage Classic Series. Gold-tone surfaces frame a deep green dial, and the no-date layout lets that pattern run without an aperture cutting through it. There is plenty of marketing poetry around the tree; at least the dial does the heavy lifting.

The size is the strongest practical argument. A 38mm diameter and 43.8mm lug-to-lug measurement put it firmly in compact dress-watch territory, though 12.9mm is not especially slim. The 6R51 is Seiko’s no-date three-hand calibre with a three-day reserve. It is sensible hardware, not exotic hardware, which is probably the right call when the exterior is already shouting.
The JDM HCC011 needs a separate note
Plus9Time identifies a Japan-market HCC011 alongside the global HCC009. A release from TRADMAN’S BONSAI’s operator confirms the Japanese edition is limited to 600 pieces, priced at ¥176,000, and scheduled for 5 September 2026. It also notes the TRADMAN’S BONSAI logo on the case back. Seiko’s global and UAE product pages document HCC009, while the Japanese release does not print the HCC011 reference in its body, so buyers should verify the exact reference with the seller rather than treating the two codes as interchangeable.
The extra strap and box are part of the idea
Seiko includes an additional calf-leather strap. Its exterior texture echoes black-pine bark, while the underside carries a sanko-matsu pine-needle motif. A special presentation box and watch cloth are also included. None of that changes how the watch runs, but it makes this feel like a coherent collaboration rather than a green dial with a logo taped to the launch notes.
UAE availability and the honest route
Seiko has published a Middle East/UAE product page for HCC009, but no UAE retail price is shown there. WristBear does not currently list HCC009 or HCC011. That means there is no honest exact-product CTA yet.

Verdict
The HCC009 works because the collaboration changes the watch you see, not just the text on the case back. The green relief dial, gold-tone case and bark-inspired strap all pull in the same direction. The compact footprint and 10-bar rating keep it usable.
The trade-off is obvious: gold and textured green together are not quiet, and the 6R51 remains a broadly specified Seiko movement rather than a high-accuracy showpiece. If you want a subtle everyday Presage, there are easier options. If you want the bonsai idea to be visible from across the table, this one understood the assignment.
A convincing themed limited edition in genuinely wearable proportions. Wait for confirmed UAE stock and pricing rather than chasing an unverified listing.
