Quick take: Seiko is adding two colour-heavy 5 Sports SKX models for October 2026. HDB004 goes white, black and yellow-gold-coloured. HDB005 takes the warmer route with a green dial and bezel plus rose-gold-coloured hands and markers. Same basic watch. Completely different mood.
Both are built around the familiar 42.5mm stainless-steel SKX-series case with a steel bracelet, unidirectional rotating bezel and screw display back. They use Seiko’s 4R36 automatic, so there is manual winding, hacking seconds and a day-date display. This is the durable everyday 5 Sports formula, not a precious limited-edition exercise.
What is shared
- Movement: 4R36 automatic with manual winding, 24 jewels and about 41 hours of power reserve
- Case: 42.5mm diameter, 14.2mm thick, 46mm lug-to-lug
- Crystal: curved Hardlex
- Water resistance: 10 bar
- Other: LumiBrite hands and indices, 22mm lug width, 169g bracelet weight, magnetic resistance to 4,800 A/m

HDB004 or HDB005?
HDB004 is the cleaner, more contrasty option. The white sunburst dial sits under a black bezel insert, while yellow-gold-coloured hands and markers give it a slightly dressier edge. HDB005 is the more committed version: green dial, green bezel, rose-gold-coloured details. Neither tries to be subtle, which is kind of the point.

Neither exact reference is confirmed in WristBear’s current catalogue, so this is release news, not a fake UAE availability claim. Explore Seiko at WristBear. Honest verdict: HDB004 will probably be the safer buy, but the HDB005 is the one you remember. What do you guys think?
