The NB6050-01L and NB6059-06W are the same 40.1mm Citizen Series 8 platform in two distinct finishes. Both use the automatic Calibre 9051, sapphire crystal, 100m water resistance and 16,000 A/m magnetic resistance. Pick the blue NB6050 for the cooler, simpler look, or the two-tone brown NB6059 for more warmth.
Blue restraint or brown warmth
Citizen has kept the hardware consistent and changed the visual emphasis. The NB6050-01L uses a graduated blue textured dial, matching blue leather strap and a plain stainless-steel case. It is the quieter option. The NB6059-06W uses a graduated brown dial and strap with pink-gold-colour plating around the case, so the same angular Series 8 architecture looks warmer and more decorative.

Calibre 9051 is the shared core
Both watches use Citizen’s Calibre 9051, an automatic movement with manual winding, hacking seconds, a date display and about 42 hours of running time when fully wound. Citizen rates average daily accuracy at -10 to +20 seconds and magnetic resistance at 16,000 A/m.
That magnetic specification is the useful Series 8 talking point. Phones, tablet covers and laptop accessories make stray magnets more common than watch marketing usually admits. It does not make either model indestructible, but it is a practical feature rather than decorative complexity.
Case size, price and UAE availability
Citizen Hong Kong lists both at 40.1mm wide and 10.6mm thick, with a stated watch weight of 86g. Each has anti-reflective sapphire crystal, a transparent case back, cow-leather strap and 10-bar water resistance. Both are worldwide limited editions of 700 pieces.
The NB6050-01L is HKD 9,280, about AED 4,342.54 at the dated HKD/AED rate retrieved on 8 October 2026. The NB6059-06W is HKD 9,680, about AED 4,529.72. Verdict: blue restraint or brown warmth
The NB6050-01L is the easier recommendation if you want the textured dial without adding another metal colour to the case. The NB6059-06W is more distinctive, but its brown-and-pink-gold palette is doing all the decision work. There is no movement, size, water-resistance or production-limit advantage either way.
