Buy it for the unusually coherent Luke Skywalker design and low-fuss Eco-Drive movement. Skip it if 43mm is too much watch or if you expect sapphire at this price. The Force will not make mineral crystal more scratch-resistant.
The Star Wars details are obvious, but organised
The dial uses Luke’s silhouette against a black-and-green background, with the Rebel Alliance starbird at 12 o’clock. Citizen also makes the green lightsaber, hands and hour markers luminous. That gives the theme an actual timekeeping job instead of leaving it as printed decoration.
The restraint is relative. Nobody will mistake this for a quiet black dress watch. Still, the green accents follow one idea, the silver-tone case stays neutral, and the black strap carries green stitching and lining rather than another large logo. For licensed merchandise, it is surprisingly disciplined.

Eco-Drive is the sensible part
Calibre J810 is a straightforward light-powered movement with hours, minutes, seconds and a date display. Citizen describes Eco-Drive as charging from available light, removing the routine battery-replacement cycle associated with an ordinary quartz watch.
That suits a themed watch. Something bought because it is fun should not become a drawer ornament after the initial excitement. Keep it exposed to suitable light, follow Citizen’s charging guidance, and the movement is designed to make ownership uncomplicated. The case is not subtle
At 43mm wide and 12.5mm thick, the AW1910-48W will have clear wrist presence. The black dial helps visually, but it does not make the case smaller. Buyers with compact wrists should treat the diameter as a real fit constraint rather than assuming the leather strap solves everything.
The more disappointing specification is the mineral crystal. It is impact-tolerant and common in this category, but at US$450 some buyers will reasonably want sapphire. The 100-metre water-resistance rating is useful, although the leather strap remains the practical reason not to treat it like a regular swimming watch.
The presentation box completes the collector pitch
Citizen’s official image gallery shows dedicated Star Wars presentation packaging rather than a standard watch box with a sticker added later. That matters because the AW1910-48W is clearly being sold as a complete character piece, not merely a black Eco-Drive with green lume.
The Plus9Time discovery post also mentions a pin badge. Citizen’s product copy and specifications checked for this draft did not confirm that accessory, so we have not treated it as a guaranteed inclusion. Check the exact regional package before buying.
UAE availability and WristBear route
As of 16 August 2026, we found the AW1910-48W on Citizen’s US site but not on WristBear or Citizen’s UAE storefront. The US$450 figure should not be converted into a promised UAE retail price, and the US warranty language should not be assumed to apply to an imported watch.
WristBear does maintain a current Citizen range, including in-stock alternatives, but not this exact reference. If Eco-Drive matters more than the Star Wars theme, the honest next step is to compare the models actually listed rather than chase an unavailable product page.
Verdict: good Star Wars merch, ordinary watch value
The AW1910-48W works because Citizen commits to one character and lets the functional details support the theme. The luminous green lightsaber is clever, the case-back quote is the right one, and Eco-Drive is exactly the sort of movement a collector’s piece should have.
The buyer split is equally clear. Choose it if you are a Luke Skywalker fan who is comfortable with a 43mm case and sees the themed execution as part of the value. Skip it if you mainly want the strongest watch specification for US$450; mineral crystal and a basic three-hand J810 are not trying to win that argument.
