This Japanese Domestic Market (JDM) model features a distinctive ivory dial with a fine matte texture designed to minimize light reflections for superior legibility. Contrasting black chronograph sub-dials, a tachymeter bezel, Lumibrite-coated hands and markers, and a discreet date display create the iconic "panda" chronograph appearance that has made the Speedtimer collection highly sought after.

The watch is crafted from stainless steel and features a compact 39.0mm case, 45.5mm lug-to-lug, and 13.3mm thickness, offering exceptional wrist comfort while retaining a sporty presence. A curved sapphire crystal with an anti-reflective coating on the inner surface provides excellent scratch resistance and clarity. The stainless steel bracelet is secured by a three-fold clasp with push-button release, while 100 metres (10 Bar) of water resistance ensures dependable durability for everyday wear. The finely brushed and polished case finishing enhances the premium feel of the watch.

Powering the SBDL125 is Seiko's reliable Caliber V192 solar chronograph movement, delivering an accuracy of ±15 seconds per month. Once fully charged, the movement operates for approximately 6 months without additional light exposure. It features a 1/5-second chronograph capable of measuring up to 60 minutes, a 24-hour indicator, small seconds, power reserve indication, date display, and overcharge prevention, providing the convenience of quartz precision without routine battery replacements.

The SBDL125 is the Japanese-market counterpart to the international SSC961, with both models sharing identical specifications and design.
