Quick take: Seiko has added two proper mechanical chronographs to Speedtimer, not another solar reheat. The HBD001 and HBD002 use the 8R48 automatic chronograph calibre in a sizeable 42mm case, with dial layouts inspired by a 1972 Speedtimer design.
Each measures 42mm across, 14.6mm thick and 49.5mm lug-to-lug in stainless steel. Their 8R48 movement handles the chronograph; Seiko differentiates the sub-dial finishes to make elapsed-time reading clearer, rather than merely stacking the usual three circles on a dial.
