Quick take: These are Speedtimers without a chronograph, which sounds like Seiko has lost the plot until you see the internal countdown ring. Turn the four-o’clock crown and it gives you a practical, analogue countdown scale for pit-stop-ish timing or, more realistically, coffee and parking.
Both use a 39.5mm stainless-steel case that is 12mm thick and 44.5mm lug-to-lug, Seiko’s 6R55 automatic calibre and approximately 72 hours of reserve. Sapphire crystal and 20-bar water resistance make these more capable than their retro-motoring styling suggests.
