The stainless steel case is paired with a navy nylon strap for a rugged, easy-wearing look. Power comes from Seiko's in-house Caliber 7S36, a 23-jewel automatic movement that winds itself from the motion of your wrist, so no battery is ever needed. It displays the day and date together at the 3 o'clock position, and a see-through caseback lets you watch the movement at work.
The stainless steel case measures about 42 mm across, 45 mm lug to lug and 12 mm thick, and the whole watch weighs about 86 g on its strap. A scratch-resistant Hardlex crystal covers the dial and the hands and markers are luminous for low-light reading. Water resistance is 100 metres (10 bar), suitable for swimming, and the strap is a navy nylon band.
