The Casio G-Shock GW-5000HS-1D pays tribute to the original G-Shock design introduced in 1983. Part of the 5000 series, it retains the distinctive square digital display, classic brick-pattern face and rugged black finish. Its understated monochrome styling makes it suitable for everyday wear, outdoor activities and casual outfits.
Built for durability, this watch features a metal inner case, a screw-lock case back and G-Shock's renowned shock-resistant construction. The black resin band offers a comfortable fit, while the case back's diamond-like carbon coating helps improve abrasion resistance. Made in Japan at Casio's Yamagata factory, it combines heritage-inspired design with modern watchmaking technology.
The GW-5000HS-1D uses Tough Solar technology to convert light into power, reducing the need for regular battery replacement. Multi Band 6 radio-controlled timekeeping helps maintain accuracy by receiving calibration signals from supported transmitters. Additional functions include world time, a 1/100-second stopwatch, countdown timer, five daily alarms and a full-auto Super Illuminator LED backlight for visibility in low-light conditions.
With 200-metre water resistance, shock protection and a practical digital display, this G-Shock is designed to handle demanding daily use while preserving the timeless character of the original 5000 series.
