The Casio G-Shock GMW-B5000D-2DR is a full-metal interpretation of the iconic 5000 Series, drawing directly from the original square G-Shock design. It features a stainless steel case, bezel and bracelet, complemented by a distinctive metallic blue accent around the digital display. The blue tone is created using vapor-deposition technology, adding a contemporary highlight to the classic silver finish while retaining the unmistakable G-Shock aesthetic.
The watch uses G-Shock's full-metal shock-resistant construction, with fine resin cushioning components positioned between the bezel and case to help absorb impacts. The stainless steel bezel is forged, cut and polished with contrasting hairline and mirror finishes, while the metal bracelet incorporates dimples inspired by the resin band of the original G-Shock. A screw-lock case back provides a secure seal, and the watch offers 200-metre water resistance.
The GMW-B5000D-2DR is powered by Tough Solar and features both Bluetooth smartphone connectivity and Multi Band 6 radio-controlled timekeeping. Through the CASIO WATCHES app, users can access automatic time adjustment, easy watch settings, approximately 300 world-time cities, time-and-place recording, reminders and a phone-finder function. Additional features include a 1/100-second stopwatch, 24-hour countdown timer, five daily alarms and a full auto-calendar through 2099.
