About this watch
The Casio Duro MDV-106B-1A3 gives Casio's popular MDV-106 dive-style watch, often called the Duro or Marlin, a fresh green look. A black dial with a marlin emblem is framed by a green aluminium rotating bezel, set in a stainless steel case on a black resin strap. Bold indexes and a classic diver layout make it easy to read at a glance. It is a sporty, versatile watch for the beach, travel and daily wear, and it suits anyone who likes the look of a green-bezel diver.
Inside is a Casio quartz movement (Module 2784) accurate to ±20 seconds per month, powered by an SR626SW battery with an approximate battery life of three years. The analog display uses three hands for hours, minutes and seconds, together with a date window at three o'clock. The unidirectional rotating bezel can only turn anti-clockwise, so it can be used to track elapsed time, such as a swim, a parking meter or a cooking timer, without the risk of overestimating the time remaining.
The official Casio dimensions are 49.5 x 46.3 x 12.1 mm (length x width including crown x height), for a case of about 44 mm in diameter, and the watch weighs 92 g. The case is stainless steel with an aluminium anti-reverse rotating bezel in green, a screw-lock crown and a screw-lock case back. A mineral glass crystal protects the dial. Water resistance is rated at 200 meters (20 bar), suitable for swimming, snorkelling and recreational water sports, but not for scuba diving. A black resin band with a buckle completes the watch.
