Quick take: Citizen is celebrating 50 years of Eco-Drive with two Attesa models that take their colour cues from actual light phenomena. The CC4084-83Z goes for a green flash at sunset. The CC4085-81Z goes purple aurora. Subtle was never invited.
Both are limited to 1,500 pieces worldwide and scheduled for October 2026. They use a 44.6mm x 15.4mm Super Titanium case and bracelet with Duratect DLC, dual-spherical sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating, 10-bar water resistance and the F950 Eco-Drive GPS satellite-wave calibre. Citizen rates the movement at ±5 seconds per month without signal reception and up to five years on a full charge in power-save mode.
Power of Green Flash: CC4084-83Z
Structural-colour film under a printed black layer creates the dial’s changing green hues. Its sapphire bezel ring is finished in dark green, while the bezel uses Duratect Amber Yellow.

Power of Purple Aurora: CC4085-81Z
A black dial uses raised printing and colour-shifting sub-dials to create purple and blue tones. Its sapphire bezel ring shifts purple to blue, with pink-gold-coloured details and Duratect Pink at the bezel.

Both add world time, a 1/20-second chronograph to 24 hours, light-level and power-reserve indicators, a perpetual calendar and Citizen’s Double Direct Flight switching. No WristBear availability is implied. Explore Citizen at WristBear. Honest verdict: a lot of technology and colour, but the green one wins this round. What do you guys think?
